In our contemporary culture few things communicate love better than listening. not just hearing someone, but listening. intently, carefully, and "evangelistically". yes, it may sound strange to think about "evangelistic" listening, because clearly the word evangelism, greek euaggelion, "good news," is an announcement, a proclamation of God's glorious victory at the cross of Jesus and through His resurrection. but announcing this good news faithfully requires knowing and loving the people that we have before us. personally, i'm not sure we can truly know and love someone without first listening to them, and not just in a single conversation, but in the context of friendship, trust, and life. so we love to listen to our neighbors and have developed the habit of praying while listening, asking God for discernment and an opportunity to speak and announce the good news of the gospel. this actually helps us to listen better, and follow the Spirit's lead as we then speak and share the love of God in Christ. James says, "be quick to listen" and just a few verses later exhorts, "receive ... the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." So may our listening be evangelistic listening, and a real demonstration of gospel love.

Developing ministries of mercy

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. (2 Corinthians 3:16-18) Vite Trasformate is a gospel-centered ministry to reach those trapped in prostitution in Italy by acts of love and support for the transformation of lives.
Many thousands of women are on the sidewalks in Italy every single night. Most of them are victims of human trafficking and exploitation, and they are all without hope. Our primary objective is to see their lives transformed by Jesus Christ to the glory of God. The ministry of Vite Trasformate seeks to meet the physical, relational and emotional needs of the women through practical help, friendship building, and networking with social services to provide exit strategies. All this is under the leadership and partnership of the local churches and our greatest desire is to meet their spiritual needs and lead them into loving arms of God our Savior.
